Me and Jerry a few weeks back when we went out with the kids and grandgirls for his birthday celebration at the Outback. Yesterday I got my "box of love" from Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker that she was selling on her blog. This is her new Sugar Cookie Collection which I am in love with & drooling over! I used Love Always, Sugar Cookie Delight, I love you, sugar cookie cut ups and the borderstrip. This is a picture of my niece Ella from last year which I thought would make a cute Valentines layout. Also used Prima Ingvild Bolme inks (dark bark & vintage pink), Ranger liquid pearls, fiskars & EK success punches and threw in some buttons. TFL!

This is my angelic looking niece Ella (lol). Last week she took a scissor to her long and beautiful curly hair. She took out a chunk in the back down to her hairline and for good measure, lobbed off a few inches on one side in the front. The picture is the end result of my niece Jenn cutting it short and styling it. Although it was a bad thing to do - I think she looks adorable with her new short and curly do. Not so funny for mom and dad, but great stuff for a scrapbooking aunt! The journaling reads: snip snip snip snip, that was the sound of Ella cutting her own hair. Fish Tales - This is the humongous rainbow trout my husband Jerry caught last week in the Lehigh River by our house. It weighed in at 9.1 lbs and 25 inches at the official weigh station. It got smoked and eaten in a few days! Did this for this weeks sketch challenge at Sketch Inspirations

Puppy in Training

This is me and my new pup Annie last week for her first night of puppy training. We got her 5 weeks ago from the Durham Animal Rescue where we got our other dog Shea 7 years ago. We believe she is a Schipperke mixed with pomeranian/jack russell terrier. We just did the DNA test on her & should know in a few weeks. Regardless of what breed, she's an awesome dog & fit right in with all of us! It's like we've always had her. She's sweet and a momma's girl. She's helped fill the large hole in my heart that Murphy left when she died in June. Meet Annie

This is Annie, our new pup! On Saturday 11/26, we adopted Annie from the Durham Animal Rescue. She was brought up from a Kentucky Shelter. She is thought to be close to a year old. She's pretty little at about 20 lbs and is thought to be part Schipperke (small cattle dog) and terrier mix. She's super friendly and she and Shea are getting along well

There's a new gal in town and her name is Annie! She is adjusting very quickly and is a pretty smart girl

This was taken about 1 1/2 hours after she came home. Her and Shea sharing the couch! I think Jerry has to find a new place to watch TV! LOL!

Here are my nephews Alex, Ian & Erik with sister Ella this past weekend. We were able to get back from our Gettysburg trip early enough so I could spend time with them before they headed back home to the Lancaster area. I was so excited and happy to see them. The boys were stripped down to their tee's playing football and I wanted to get a picture. They happily obliged & this was their pose (of course, Ella jumped right into the photo too, lol). Amazing how time flies isn't it? This is my 3 year old niece Ella (Ellise Quimby is her given name). I also call her badness bean, Miss Trouble and Miss Sillypants! Hard to believe she is 3 already - seems like she was just born! Time sure does fly! Jerry took these pics 2 weeks ago when he was babysitting Gretchen (I had to work & he did a good job without me)! My 3 year old niece Ella! I truly do love that face!!!! I got to spend the day Saturday with Ella and her brothers - what a joy! Had one of the worst weeks ever and this was just the therapy I needed! It distracted me for awhile! My heart is full each and every time I see her. She's getting so smart and so funny! (just like her daddy!). At 12:35 a.m. I said good-bye to my best friend Murphy Brown. They certainly broke the mold with this gal. Everyone who met her, instantly loved her. She was 14 1/2 years old and died from congestive heart failure. She just spent two great weeks in the mountains with us. It was my first night back to work and I believe she waited for me to come home. Her last bout with CHF came on suddenly. I am so glad I was able to lay with her for the last hour of her life as she crossed the rainbow bridge. I have prayed that when death came to her, it would be peaceful, without struggle and at home. I have been blessed to have her this long, but I am heartbroken.

This is our adorable grandbaby Gretchen Olivia who is 5 1/2 months old. We just finished up our two weeks of vacation at our place in the mountains. Gretchen had her first mountain adventure this past Saturday and Sunday and enjoyed her first campfire. It was a blast having her visit! Used an Oldmissb sketch (CLB#12) for this layout of my niece Ella. When she stayed with me for a few days 2 weeks ago, we went to the dollar store. She spied this hideous and cheapo/chintzy "barbie" type doll and just had to have it. It had "hooker" shoes & the leg kept popping off, but she had a blast with it. Countless times we had to "re-dress" hooker barbie and re-do her hair in a pony and out of a pony, lol! It was cute. Used all Prima Melody and Wink paper collections on this along with a handful of punches, ink, stickles, Recollection flowers and cricut serenade & paper dolls cartridges. TFL!

Three bumps on a log! These are my 3 cutie pie nephews Erik 9, Alex 7 and Ian 5 during my recent trip to Leola to see them! Isn't amazing how they actually pose on command! We were at the park & they started hanging on this log & I said, "let me get a picture" and they actually came up with this pose on their own! LOL! They are such cooperative scrapbook subjects! Let's play hide and seek! Okay, so I'm fibbing. She wasn't really playing hide and seek with me - but how could I title it, "Aunt Donna, please stop taking my picture". Hee hee! This was during my recent trip to the Lancaster area to see my new nephew, my old nephews (lol!) and my adorable niece Ella! At this point, I probably had taken a gazillion pictures & she just about had enough & was trying to hide her face! Just Swinging! My heart is truly full! On Saturday, Me and my sister got to travel down to the Lancaster area finally after many weather cancellations to see my little girl Ella! I also got to see my new nephew Evan who is 1 week old and my cutie pie nephews Erik 9, Alex 7 and Ian 5. This meant more to me than just about anything! We had a fabulous day together & went to a great place for lunch (The Oregon Dairy Store) and they had a fantastic park attached & we played on the slides, swings, etc. I got tons of photos & this is one of Ella just hanging on the tire swing. Just clowning around - This is one of my RN's, Scott, along with Melinda from our therapy department at our county fair this past fall. Scott is one of those guys who everybody loves, is a great nurse & fabulous to work with. All our patients adore him with good reason. I am thrilled to say he's been promoted to our sister building as a Unit Manager & I made this layout as part of his going away gift. Papers are from Echo Park Summertime and Cosmo Cricket Snorkel. Alphas are both doodlebug design & inks are colorbox. Of course for good measure and because it just really does fit on this layout, the loop punch by Martha Stewart makes an appearance. TFL!

Wow - two layouts today! Put together another very simple layout. Loved this design from constandrmr (a little birdie told me). This is mommy Jenn introducing Ian and Ella to their new baby brother Evan who was born late Saturday night! This little love bug is my new great nephew Evan or Evan Almighty as my sister calls him! He was born Saturday night @ 10:25 weighing 8.13 lbs and 19 inches long. Used Little Yellow Bicycle Snuggle Bug collection (boy all over, boy playtime & boy geometric). The colors IRL are such a soft muted shade of blue - with the overcast skies today, I just can't seem to photograph the colors true to life. Used Dew Drop brilliance inks, Martha Stewart loop punch (still my favorite) and EK Success binding edge punch.
